The Alecsandra-class aircraft carrier is a class of aircraft carrier operated by the Zoygarian Mara Voyna. The Alecsandra-class ship uses a ski-jump to launch high-performance conventional aircraft in a STOBAR configuration. This design offered the Zoygarian military far more range for its aircraft, allowing them to use their own power for takeoff whilst still landing via arrestor hooks and cables. To date, the only Alecsandra-class ship is the SCZ Charîbda, often considered the secondary flagship of the Zoygarian navy. The ship has a crew complement of 1,500, and can carry upwards of 50 aircraft. The ship was commissioned by the Mara Voyna as Zoygaria's answer to the production of modern aircraft carriers across Iearth, being highly compatible with Zoygarian naval aircraft, and is one of two Zoygarian aircraft carriers in active service, the other being the SCZ Nievisca.
