The Imperial Province of Valyrion, commonly referred to as Valyrion, is an overseas semi-autonomous republic and province of the Imperium of Amador. Founded in 873 AD as a colonial possession, Valyrion has grown into one of Amador's most important territorial possessions. With over three billion citizens across the territory, Valyrion is the second most popular imperial territory of Amador, second only to Eska Alfaria. Valyrion is led by the Archon, Sirilla Carmeen. Valyrion is located in Varathron, a sister region of Gholgoth. The province operates as a semi-autonomous republic swearing fealty to the House of Amador and by extension, queen Maeralya.
Aithlin is the capital and largest city of the province. Valyrion is defined by the Moragdel Mountains a weathered chain of mountains, which run the length of the territory from east to west through the central portions of the province. Its coastal areas are flat and abundantly populated with plentiful arable lands. Verdant wildlife is common in the forests of coastal lowlands. Tundras smother the southwestern areas, while expansive plains suitable for agriculture encompasses southeastern Valyrion.
Valyrion, as an overseas territory of Amador, is home to an extensive and well-defined military structure and industrial complex, with Valyrion itself housing Varathron Regional Fleet Command - Amador (VRFCA). The provinces plays an important role is maintaining and defending Alfar interests abroad. Naval Station Orelian and Rulkien Joint-Military base are such examples of Alfar defense in the region.
Valyrion is part of the Amadorian Empire and is populated primarily by the Alfar, though there are sizable populations of humans and other non-human species, such as dwarves, orcs, and goblins. The Alfarian Dragon is also known to roam in Valyrion's weathered mountains, though not in sizable numbers. While the Archon is the de facto leader of an Imperial Overseas Province, they still swear allegiance to the throne of Amador and to its rightful sovereign. Maeralya Amador is the current sovereign to which Valyrion swears its allegiance.

The Ervinian Revolution (1109 AD - 1121 AD)
Valyrion's colonization sparked local native tribes to initially view the new settlers with hesitancy, though in time, the Alfar would be welcomed. This was not the case for the Ervini Tribe, a loose confederation of states that sprung up in revolution against the Alfar in the early 1100s. The Ervini, a native human tribe led by Galbortic Tiane, would rise up againat the Alfar and attack the village of Enrica on the northern coast.
Alfar response was slow, with the colony not fully protected by mainland Amador at the time. The governor of Valyrion at the time, Thedric Commodore would utilized the protected walled-settlements as deterrents to the Ervini, who lacked adequate siege equipment.
Imperial Province of Valyrion (1316 AD - Present AD)
Valyrion would formally be inducted into Amador as a province following the Wekan Accords, formalizing Valyrion's entry into the Imperium and subsequently gaining full representation in Amador's government. Provincehood would see a demographical and economical boon for Valyrion, with the state profiting greatly from increased trade and migration to the territory. Provincehood would provide Valyrion with extensive resources to grow into what it would become in the modern age.
With the induction into the Imperium, Valyrion not only gained provincehood, but also a status as an Imperial Overseas Province, granting it a semi-autonomous government that is free to create and enforces laws so long as said laws would not break overal imperial law. Archon Elisabet Ruriken would be Valyrion's first appointed archon and moved swiftly to establish the territory as a prominent piece of the Alfar Empire.

Geography
Valyrion is a large province of Amador in Varathron and is home to numerous different climates. Located in southern Varathron on the Tirellian Peninsula, Valyrion is the third largest overseas territory of Amador by area behind Ilethlean and Eska Alfaria. It shares a maritime border with Vorkat to the wests of its westernmost tip. Valyrion is relatively flat, save for the Moragdel Mountains, with the Man'el Tor Vaska Forest covering much of the northern territory and the Yurgred Plains covering the southeastern areas, while the southwestern area is contained by the Irillian Tundra, a vast stretch of permafrost lands devoid of relative settlement. The Moragdel mountains split the nation into these biomes.
The Moragdel Mountains runs the spine of the territory from west to east. An ancient chain of mountains, the chain's relative heigh typically averages out to around 1,600 meters in height. Most peaks are rounded and forest-covered, offering the nation a natural and stunning view of nature. The tallest mountain and tallest natural object above sea level in Valyrion is Mount Fayleren at 2,389 meters.
Lake Rurnith is the largest lake by surface area in Valyrion and its deepest. It is the most important freshwater source in the territory, supplying more than 37% of freshwater needs for Valyrion. Much of Valyrion's population can be found alongside the numerous lakes and rivers of the territory and along coastal settlements.
The Parishia River is the main tributary of Lake Runith and is the second longest river in Valyrion after the the Suakina River. It stretches from Ailith from the west, to the southeasternmost village in Valyrion, Carne. The Menas-Ailith Watershed, formed from the Encuriel, is the most populated area of Valyrion.
Climate
Northern Valyrion enjoys substantially warmer weather than that of southern Valryion. The Southern Reaches cover a large portion of the southwestern area of the province, with abundant permafrost via the Irillian Tundra and conifer forests covering the land. Overall, Valyrion enjoys war summers and mild, if not cold winters. As a result, southwestern Valyrion remains largely undeveloped outside of a few population centers.
Western Valyrion, along the coast and near the capital of Aithlin enjoys an oceanic climate with slight variations in humid subtropical climate locales. Varlyrion's largest cities are found here, with the areas being flat and arable. Percipitation in this area is moderate throughout the year, with decreases during the winter months and increases during the summer months.
