Eligio Finocchio (born 18 March 1999; aged 20) is an Atrescan professional footballer who primarily plays as a defensive midfielder for Navish club Hudenholm SK and the Atrescannational football team. Starting his career at 16 years of age after he and his family migrated to Hudenholm from his native town of Montelurro, Atresca, he rose quickly through the ranks of their youth team and broke into the first team as a defensive midfielder aged only 19. Described as one of the quickest progressions to starhood in the sport ever seen, former Atrescan centreback and Hudenholm legend and manager Marco Fidanza regarded him as “Atresca’s answer to Henri Sabon”. Fidanza announced that, after stellar performances and a positive team attitude, Finocchio would be made captain of the Hudenholm squad.
