The Aisling Army (Aisling: Arm Toirt) is the terrestrial branch of the Aisling Defense Force and is largest of the three uniformed services. Service in the Imperial Army, as with the other uniformed services, is strictly voluntary, as conscription is illegal under the Articles of Governance. Completion of a term of service in the Aisling Army qualifies an Aisling for citizenship, conferring upon them the privilege of suffrage and the right to campaign for and hold public office.
