Cislania (Weranic: Kislanreich) officially known as the Kingdom of Cislania (Weranic: Königreich Kislanreich) is a constituent state within the Lands of the Weranic Crown. Cislania is the largest state in Werania by both size and population, containing 16,589,362 people. It also contains three of Werania's largest cities - Wiesstadt, Ostdorf am Main and Siegberg.
Cislania traditionally has been the most dominant Weranic state within the modern borders of Werania. Named after the Solarian province of Cislania, the modern kingdom was formed in 1214 by the dynasty of Schwarzollen. Cislania became the dominant state within the Ahnemunde Confederation in 1482, retaining that position until 1705 when the Protestant Kingdom of Brücken became the dominant state within the confederation following the third Gilded War. Cislania unlike other states within the Ahnemunde Confederation backed the anti-Pereramonic coalition during the Pereramonic Wars and as such left the war significantly more powerful than other Ahnemunde states. The kingdom was mostly absorbed into the Weranic Republic in 1752 but its leadership based in a rump state in the south of the country helped assemble the reactionary coalition that eventually defeated the republic; Maximilian of Cislania was subsequently installed as the new royal head of state of the Kingdom of Werania which was dominated by Cislania. Cislania also annexed the Kingdom of Brücken during this time period. In 1782 a palace coup saw the Second Republic declared with the Cislanian royal family exiled to Estmere.
The royal family returned with the collapse of the republic in 1797 to head the Kingdom of Cislania-Brücken, whose unusually well-organised and effective army was able to win various wars and battles to enable the kingdom to become the dominant Weranic state. A combination of successful military campaigns under General Karl Hoetzsch, diplomatic maneuverings by Cislanian Minister of State Ulrich von Bayrhoffer and a wave of nationalism led to the unification of Werania in 1842. Cislania-Brücken was the dominant state within the union with the king of Cislania-Brücken, Sigismund becoming the first Weranic Kaiser. Despite being nominally an elective monarchy Cislanian dominance in the new Weranic state meant it's dynasty became to dominate Werania permanently, eventually entering personal unions with Ruttland and Free City of Kolreuth which was granted autonomy from Cislania-Brücken in 1904. During the 1980's a series of constitutional reforms saw the land of Brücken separated from Cislania forming the Free State of Bonnlitz, resulting in the kingdom to change its name to the Kingdom of Cislania.
Cislania is the largest state in Werania with its economy consisting of almost a third of the entire Weranic economy. Its landscape mostly consisting of hills and plains Cislania is known for being culturally, politically and economically the heart of the Weranic state. It also is home to some of the biggest technology companies in Euclea alongside financial institutions.
