The Cacertian Royal Fleet Auxiliary (CRFA) is a civilian-manned fleet that is owned and managed by Cacerta's Ministry of Defense. As the Kingdom's Navy maintains a vast operational control area around Tyran, the Fleet Auxiliary enables the country's military ships to maintain operations internationally by resupplying them with fuel, ammunition, and food via replenishment at sea. In the event of a war, the Auxiliary is capable of transporting elements of the Cacertian Royal Army with its amphibious transport docks.
Although it is logistically considered a part of the Royal Navy, its personnel are members of the nation's Ministry of Defense civil service and are easily recognizable by their merchant navy insignia. Ships of the RFA are crewed primarily by civilians, however they are supplemented by members of the Royal Navy's reserve force.
Equipment
The Fleet Auxiliary maintains fourteen vessels for the purposes of resupplying and supplementing the logistics of the Royal Navy. It's most important role is replenishing military ships at sea and as such, the majority of the RFA's fleet is made up of a combined tanker and replenishment ships. As a separate body from the primary Navy, the Auxiliary flies its own flag.
