HM Hetman Folke Gustav Venevitinov is the current Hetman of Dniegua and head of the Venevitinov royal family. A successful military officer and businessman, Folke is the founder and former CEO of Aulendost Automotive, AB, a Dnieguan performance motor company. He is the second wealthiest member of the royal family.

Previously considered by some to be "estranged" from the Hetmann Royal Family, Folke is a notoriously public figure, previously appearing at high profile events, often appearing on television award shows and talkshows, and occasionally taking small roles in cinema. Rarely, however, is he seen at royal events, and does not reside in any royal properties; he is, however, protected by Vakrana Avsryastsus guardsmen, meaning he retained a degree of contact, albeit quite privately, with the royal family.

Following his fathers decent into illness in 2014, Folke took the throne and effectively became the leader of Dniegua on 12th October, 2014, though officially a steward. On 19 August of 2015, the upper house of Dnieguan Legislature provided a vote of no confidence in the ailing Hetman Petr on his request, declaring Folke would take power as the Hetman of Dniegua on 23 August, 2015.

Some have called Folke "The modern king". A notoriously public figure, Folke prefers the company of the public and is often seen in public places. He has an active Vid-U account, in which he uploads 25 minute videos every week answering emails and discussing the state. In addition, Folke has a personal Chirp account with some 3,750,000 followers, and has been noted as being a " media hog", and is frequently seen utilizing one of several media devices.

Personal History

Early life

Folke Venevitinov was born on the Hetmanns private estate. Born with a Nuchal cord, requiring a few weeks of close care and several weeks of monitoring. His first public appearance was six months later. He was declared the oldest of then-prince Petr Venevitinov and wife Allena, effectively making him a future monarch.

Folke attended a private Elementary school before spending grades 9 to 10 in a public school under his fathers request and apparent secrecy, desiring Folke to understand better the life of an average Dnieguan citizen. He received a Highschool diploma from Alkalisjk, a private school in Korstgrad.

Military career

Folke entered an officer ship in the Dnieguan Royal College of War in 1989, where he graduated as a Captain in 1995, assuming command of a Dnieguan Naval Infantry Expeditionary Unit shortly thereafter. He served one combat tour, and was awarded Order of St. Gustav for combat actions.

Shortly after, he retired from the Armed Forces at the rank of Major. His 8 year service term was two years shorter than the required minimum of a Dnieguan graduate of the war collage. It was said that this was due to psychotic issues, and that Folke had developed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from his combat. In 2015, following his coronation, reports of his health were released; it was reveled that Folke had been suffering from significant issues breathing as a result of a penetrative chest wound, which required him to retire from his career as an officer.

Post-military life

Shortly after leaving the Armed Forces, Folke started a small motor company making motorcycles with a former military associate. The company, Aulendost Motors, rapidly became successful due to the companies low cost and perceived prestige of having a motorcycle made by a royal; a partially true fact, as Folke did indeed work on the machine room floor producing motorcycles. At some point, Folke received a degree on business management and law. While studying, he and co-designer Anders Ulstine designed the Aulendost C2X Fommstran, a mid-engined sports car. The aspiring automotive company built two prototype cars at great cost, firmly believing it to be an excellent concept. The initial prototype attracted the attention of several wealthy individuals who helped fund development, resulting in a production run of 36 cars; 14 for original investors, two for showcase and 20 for later sale. The car was personally showcased by Folke at the 2003 Ostgard auto show. Within twelve days all cars were sold.

In 2006, the company reached such a level that they were able to purchase failing Trab Automotive and holdings, effectively entering them into the consumer market of automobiles.

Folke remained head of the company under close watch of the public. Rarely appearing at royal events, Folke was claimed to have been the estranged son of the King, and was believed to be in exile. Folke rarely spent time in the capital city, though he retained a home there, and was generally seen living a more reckless lifestyle than that which would normally befit a king. The media began spreading rumors that Folke had been placed in exile from the royal family by his father in late 2010. While neither party ever directly confirmed this statement, neither overtly denied the rumor until 2013, in which Folke appeared at his first press conference with his father, stating:

"I have never been estranged from my family. We have eaten dinner together at least once a month every month for the last fifteen years. I regularly speak to my father and mother, and my siblings. My father is my best friend, and has been for years."

Following his father's ailment in mid 2014, Folke returned to Dnieguas capital from his Halymät home and was declared Steward of Dniegua three weeks later. Within a years time Hetman Petr VIIs condition had deteriorated to such that Folke, his brother Tor, and their mother, Queen Allena, appeared before the Royal Cort and Dnieguan upper house to request a vote of no-confidence be placed upon the Hetman, and the crown officially be placed to Folke. The decision of the fort ruled 14-7 for Folkes coronation, and the upper house 177-99 in favor. The unusually high number of dissenting opinions is generally believed to be to a perceived immaturity of Folke among older members of the Court and House. However, Dnieguan bill UH-80.268, On limiting the Powers of the Monarch was set to be set to be placed on hearing soon, and may have contributed to the abnormally high amount of descent voting.

Polices

Folke is seen by many as a Progressive Conservative, with open, tolerant policies in social respects, but retains important notes of the Dnieguan Hemvärnost cultural Xenophobia that have traditionally been part of the Dnieguan social norm. Folke has commented that he believes laws should be made free of religious or corporate interests, and that as Hetman, he is responsible for being a Voice of the People beyond a voice of power.

Among the first bills Folke championed included those which placed the basis for modern social welfare reform, reconditioning of the healthcare system, and expansion of laws concerning donations to politicians by business or corporate entities.
