The Portmouth Chargers FC is a Rizean professional men's football team based in Portmouth. It competes in the Rizealand Football League as a member of the Northwest Conference. It was originally founded as the Challengers Football Club in Liberty City in 1920 and was one of the original four member clubs of the RFL. It was renamed "Chargers" in 1923 and relocated to Portmouth in 1925. In 1935, it was organized into the West Conference of the RFL and joined the Northwest Conference in 2000.
