DNS Earl is an amphibious assault ship of the Delamarian Navy. It was constructed between 2011 and 2013 in Bodmonton Ship Yards in Radnor. Designed as an amphibious warfare ship, Earl carries troops, normally Delamarian Marines, and vehicles up to the size of main battle tanks. She can deploy these forces using four Landing Craft Utility (LCUs) and four Landing Craft Vehicle and Personnel (LCVPs). A flight deck supports helicopter operations, managed by the Delamarian Naval Air Service, which maintains a small air traffic control tower on the Earl. The design drew inspiration from the Gallambrian Challenger-class, and is similar to the Seylosian Liberation Class.

It acts as the capital ship of the 2nd Fleet, and can be used as an "all service operational headquarters" in wartime.

Cabins Controversies

In 2014 the Briselle Post reported that Senior Officers aboard the Earl resided in luxury cabins, referred to on board as the "apartments", that cost four times what would generally be expected for officers of their rank. Admiral Wendall Haynes, the commander of the 2nd Fleet, reportedly had "palace like rooms... rivaling Beaumont or Pritchett". It would later be revealed that Senior naval officers lobbied within the naval liason office at Monroe to ensure that high quality accomodation would be available for them.

In January 2015 a Special Inquest within the Navy began and after findings were reported four senior naval officials resigned, including Vice Admiral George Satterlee.
