The Legatian Strategic Forces (Legatian: Exercitum Strategicum Legatium) is the combined cyber, space, and nuclear warfare component of the Armed Forces of the Legatian Republic, and is one of the six uniformed branches of the Armed Forces. Formed in 1994 as a response to growing threats in non-conventional domains, the Strategic Forces is the youngest branch of the Armed Forces. It is responsible for strategic weaponry, including the direct control of land-based ICBMs, and the storage, procurement and long-term maintenance of joint force strategic weaponry, including Navy SLBMs and Air Forces air-launched cruise missiles, as well as the delivery of these weapons to combat commanders. In addition, it is responsible for conducting cyber warfare operations and managing space operations for the Legatian military. The mission of the Strategic Forces is to conduct strategic force operations and security operations in support of the sovereignty and national interests of the Legatian Republic, maintain Legatian strategic weapons capabilities and joint force arsenals, maintain a strategic deterrent, and ensure the security and safety of the citizens of the Republic.
