Non-voluntary and involuntary euthanasia is illegal in Cordonia. The national government has banned non-voluntary and involuntary euthanasia since 1984 and before that there were no laws regarding the subject. Voluntary euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide have been legalized by parliament and but is left up to each duchy to control and codify their own laws and restrictions. National law prohibits any type of euthanasia, assisted suicide and physician suicide for minors under 20, but does allow palliative sedation and care with parental consent.
