FlexBus, officially Fereinigung fan Transportferfoerters FlexBus, is a Variotan business that offers intercity bus services throughout Alharu and Argis. Originally launched in 1978 as the VTB, or Variotaanse Transport Bus, it offered intercity bus services within Het Huisselant and was co-owned by the governments within Het Huisselant Variota. Renamed into the Fereinigung fan Transportferfoerters FlexBus in 1993 after the Kerke and the Klan Reierfer Gebiet sold their shares to employees of the business, it saw rapid expansion by focusing on the budget travel market segment.
FlexBus routes connect Het Huisselant to a great deal of nations; it isn't uncommon to find students and other low budget travellers that have travelled for thousands of kilometres with the company. Ex-military members seeking to travel often find work as baggage handlers and general security on FlexBus routes going from Het Huisselant to poor and/or unstable nations. The Lukan Inclusion into Het Huisselant gave the company a domestic hub within Argis, resulting in routes to nearby Argic nations such as Girkmand increasing in frequency and decreasing in price.
Operations
Tikva
FlexBus entered the Tikvan market in late 2018, maintaining routes between Harel Bus Station and the beach towns of Zemer and Elkana. Rising costs and a diminishing frequency in regards to existing Tikvan transport companies ensured a steady market for the Variotan budget bus company, prices with FlexBus often being half or less than half than those of existing routes. It managed to force Egged, its largest competitor, to stop routes to and from Elkana as Egged could not match the prices.
