Family
Stafford was formerly a member of the old Sherwood Family but left after dissatifaction.
The de Stafford-Howard-Pembroke Family are members of the landed gentry and upper-class of Empire od Great Britain. The de Stafford’s originally came to Britain during the Norman Conquest, fighting for King William I and subsequently being granted lands in Stafford, from where they get their name. The House of Howard is an English noble house founded by John Howard. He was created the Duke of Norfolk by King Richard III of England in 1483. Finally the Pembroke’s were established in the Kingdom of Great Britain, and held the family seat of Hwlffordd Park, which has since been lost.
A few British noble or gentry families have "triple-barrelled" surnames. These indicate prima facie (the inheritance of multiple estates) and thus the consolidation of great wealth. These are sometimes created when the legator has a double-barrelled name and the legatee has a single surname, or vice versa. The current de Stafford-Howard-Pembroke Family were formed due to this legality.
