.es is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the Commonwealth of Estmere. It is managed by the Estmerish Internet Registration Office (ESIRO), the domain name registry for Estmere. Second and third-level domains can be registered (e.g. co.es or co.mo.es), but these are not a requirement for registration and are therefore relatively uncommon.

The domain was first registered in 1986. As of 2023, .es is the sixth most popular TLD, after .com, .we, .sn, .sh and .ga.

Assuming the applicant is qualified, registrations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, though ESIRO Disputes exists to resolve disputes between applicants and where copyright or other law is concerned. Applicants do not need to be resident in Estmere to be eligible, which has contributed to the domains popularity in the Estmerish-speaking world. A prospective domain previously had to be a minimum of three letters long, but this rule came to an end in 2009. Since then, the domain has had essentially no restrictions.

The common use of "es" to end to plural words in a number of languages, combined with the relatively lax requirements to register, has led to .es' frequent use in domain hacks (e.g. packag.es or tutti-frutti.es).
