The Union of Federated States, commonly known as the Federate Union (Tasian: Федерален съюз: romanized: Federalen sŭyuz), is a country in the Eastern realms and the third-most populous country in the Wider Realms. It is a federal union of 5 constituent countriesUpper Tasia, Lower Tasia, Olegria, Moldoss, and Ardelania—and several other possessions.

Human activity in the East and what is now the Federate Union has been attested since the Early era. Following the dissaperence of the Eastern Empire, various Sanctual kingdoms emerged which would later form the basis of nationstates of the East. The origins of the Federate Union arose in the Eastern Revolutions within the Olegrian-Tasian Empire, where Federate anti-monarchy forces declared the Provisional Republic of Olegria and Tasia in 1830 and 1833 respectively. The territories formally united to form the Federate Union in 1834 under the leadership of General Olodon Dimon. Through diplomatic means and conquest alike, Dimon expanded the territory of the Federate Union to include Gasaria, Khersia, Novdon, and Ardelania before his death in 1861. The Federate Union emerged as a great power and further expanded its influence during and after the East-West War from 1925 to 1930 against western hegemon Odevia.

After the onset of the Slowdown in the 1950s, the Federate Union witnessed an unprecedented economic slowdown. The Popular Uprisings led to the bilateral secession of Gasaria, Khersia, and Novdon under General Oscu Mesan, who was overthrown in the 1974 Federate coup d'état. The country subsequently invaded Gasaria in 1976, but withdrew its forces in 1988 following the Eastern Accords. The Democratic Revolution in 1991 re-established multi-party rule across the federation. The country attacked Gasarian paramilitaries in Solon in 1994 and has occupied parts of the Solon province since.

The Federate Union is a federal multinational constitutional republic divided into constituent countries and other possessions. Federally there is no official language; Olegrian and especially Tasian are the dominant working languages. Other commonly spoken languages spoken include Ardelan in Ardelania, Gasarian and Novdavian in southeastern communities, and Federate-Common within urban areas.

The Federate Union is considerable power with a large economy largely focused on industry, followed closely by services and energy. It is a founding member of the Friendship of Nations League and is part of the Organization of Nations since 1990. The Federal Military Force has the largest standing army in the World. A nominally democratic state since 1991, the state is criticized for a perceived lack of political rights.

Name

The Federate Union, and its applicable translations, is the most widespread common name for the language both domestically and internationally within formal and informal settings alike. Early in its existence, the state was referred to as the Federated States, although this has fallen into disuse.

Demographics

Languages

There is no official language of the Federate Union. Tasian and Olegrian, the two most spoken languages, are the working languages of the federal government. In addition to these two, Ardelan, Gasarian, Novdavian, Western Tasian, and Highlands Tasian are recognized national languages, therefore obligating the federal government to provide civil services in each language.

Federate-Common is a sociolect of Common spoken among immigrant communities in Moldoss.
