Origin: Iearth Diaspora: Throughout the galaxy |
Humans are a species of sentient, bipedal mammals with bilateral symmetry native to the since-destroyed planet of Iearth in the Estrella System. Throughout the Talin Galaxy, they constitute the culturally dominant species and are commonly encountered on most settled planets. They are known to engage in many different pursuits, from politics and trade, to mineral-running and bounty hunting.
In the year 762 BHT (or 2022 AD), humans colonized the planet of Eirus, marking the start of their expansion to other worlds and the era known as Human Expansion. In 67 BHT, the Human Expansion encountered the Galactic Union and began creating diplomatic and trade ties with them, exchanging technology and sciences critical to maintaining the human race. In 3 BHT, Iearth was decimated in an Overspace disaster, causing the Human Expansion great political turmoil. Three years later, the Human Expansion signed the Human Admission Treaty, granting the human colonies and its refugees protectorate status in the Union. The Human Expansion formally merged with the Galactic Union in 800 AHT; by then, the human diaspora and colonization efforts across the galaxy led to them being one of the dominant species and cultures. The first human Galactic Premier was Ellvic Hinstone, elected in the year 2978 AHT.
