History

Bak Tribes

The first Bak tribes popped up in 87 A.D. from nomads travelling from the bordering nearby waters. The travelling nomads began to settle around the river ways and agricultural lands of Bakyern. The first nomads were normally known as Wechten people by modern historians. The first tribes created in Bakyern were numerous, the most famous being the Leuhefesen and Wichten tribes.

The tribes remained uncivilized and scattered for long times, meeting foreign tribes such as the Qash tribes and Junterland tribes. The tribes in Bakyern engaged in tribal wars during a long time period from 208 to 567. Tribes began to control and take over land from the other tribe in means of agriculture and expanding the tribal culture they have made for themselves. The infamous Leuhefesen Tribe with Chief Adler Wel set out on a war of tribal expansion, taking over large areas of tribal territory from other Bak Tribes.

War with Qash Tribes

Ever since both of the groups met, they've engaged in countless tribal warfare. The Bak-Qash Tribal Wars lasted dozens of years, with Bak tribes creating short lasting alliances to engage in war against the Qash. At first, the Bak engaged successful wars with the Qash Tribes, pushing back north the settling Qash. But as the Bak tribal armies moved into the north, they retreated within 2 years from the north, loosing against the Qash tribes and their horsemen.

According to modern historians, the Bak-Qash Tribal Wars lasted from 108 to 274 A.D.

Bak Confederacy

In the year of 1762 after the creation of the Grand Duchy of Bakyern, an alliance between independent city-states which thrived to create unity and unification was created under the name of the Bak Confederacy. The Bak Confederacy ended several wars between city-states and began to create unified alliances and leagues.

The Grand Duchy of Bakyern used the Bak Confederacy as a way to unify other countries into the territories of Bakyern. Bakyern slowly expanded as it annexed city-states of the Confederacy.

Kingdom of Bakyern

Following the Bak Confederacy's unification and annexation in the name of the Grand Duchy of Bakyern, Bakyern created the Kingdom of Bakyern, making it the modern-day creation of Bakyern. This Bakyern lasted into the 21st and 20th Centuries, engaging in wars against the larger city-states now full-fledged countries such as Mansser in the Bak-Mansser War of 1923. The Kingdom of Bakyern full the majority of the 20th Century was a developing country, being a hot tourist spot

1973 Civil War

In the years of 1960s and 1970s, Bakyern faced a political crisis. Following the Conservative Convention's new prime minister, Hartmut Flügel, began to ban radical political parties, those political parties banded together to create a radical People's Revolutionary Front. The PRF engaged in terrorist warfare and guerrilla warfare against the government forces, resulting in a Civil War for control that lasted from 1973 to 1976.

Modern-Day Bakyern

As Bakyern entered the 21st Century, the ideals of Wenelism and democracy began to get heard. The monarchy was slowly losing control of the political scene as the Conservative Convention of Bakyern began to promote democracy and Wenelism alongside other major and minor parties. In 2019 the king and regent were forced to abdicate as a President took control of Bakyern. Resulting in modern-day Bakyern.
