Jago Corneu Elliot, and Jago Corneu Trelawnywek in Dupowek (Dupowerek), (born 28th October 1975) is a Satavian politician, author and former journalist, who has served as the Prime Minister of Satavia since August 2020, and leader of the Conservative Party since March 2016.

Elliot was educated at King's College, Jago in Porth Jago, where he studied History. He was the Dupowek Correspondent for The Hope Post, Satavia's most circulated newspaper from 2001 to 2006, where he became editor until 2012, when he stood down to enter politics. Elliot has published multiple books, including The Satavian Civil War (Book) and The Kings of Satavia, a book providing a fair and unbalanced overview over the status of the Monarchy in Satavia, unnofficially represented by the Governor of Satavia.

In 2014, Elliot was elected as ES for Jago's Tre, one of the four constituencies in Porth Jago. In what Satavian political commentators described as "The Quickest Appointment Ever", Elliot was appointed to the senior position of Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Satavia in 2015; but resigned the position a little under a year later, when he was voted in as leader of the Conservative Party. In 2020, following the resignation of Johan de Vilock as Prime Minister, Elliot won the largest majority in the Satavian Parliament, winning 244 out of 337 avaliable seats, roughly 65% of the avaliable seats.

Elliot, a Dupowekman himself, strongly condemned several bombings that occured in Dupowek in late September and early October, lead by the DLA (Dupowek Liberation Army), which resulted in 21 deaths and nearly half a million guilders worth of damage. Elliot speaks fluently in Dupowerek, Estmerish, Gaullican and Asteriaans.

Early Life

Elliot was born on the 28th October, 1975, in Porth Quinn, to an Satavian father and Estmerish mother. Elliot lived in Porth Quinn for six years, before being evacuated by the Estmerish Government (his mother was an Estmerish diplomat, and his father remained in Porth Quinn). Elliot lived in Ashcombe for a futher two years, untill, in 1983, when his mother was posted as deputy-ambassador to Spálgleann, the capital of Caldia. His father was killed by pro-Republican forces whilst passing through a checkpoint, where he was declared a 'Royalist Spy'. Following the civil war, evidence came to light showing that his father was not in fact a spy. In 1989, at age 14, Elliot's mother died suddenly during a visit to Kennford, in Estmere. Elliot returned to Satavia, following the end of the civil war a few months earlier. Elliot spent the rest of his childhood with his deeply traditional uncle in Porth Jago, who's family only spoke Dupowerek.

  1. In accordance with the Satavian Constitution, Elliot renounced his Estmerish citienship upon appointment as Prime Minister
