Jabiyah is the capital city of Gassasinia, and the largest city in the country. Jabiyah's history dates back about two thousand years, and was a major Phoenician city state. The city would first come to be known as Jabiyah when it became the capital city of the Ghassanids. Under Islamic rule, the capital city of the As-Shaam region would exchange repeatedly between Lawdada and Jabiyah. Following Islamic rule and the unification of the country in the late 1800's, Jabiyah would once more become capital of Gassasinia.

Today, Jabiyah is a major cosmopolitan city of Midwestern Thrismari, and is home to a variety of cultural and economic landmarks. Jabiyah is the seat of the Gassasinian parliament, and is a leading centre of finance and business within the region, being home to a wide variety of corporate headquarters. Furthermore, the city is a major hub for education, research and development, and is home to a wide variety of well-esteemed universities specialising in finance, STEM and liberal arts studies.
