Contwaraburg is the largest city of Brytene in terms of population. It is the primary industrial hub of Brytene and is home to several of the largest companies in the country, including Goldwing Finance and Kuribayashi Arms. It also houses the largest factory complex of Wernham-Hogg.

History

Early history

Contwaraburg was founded at the turn of the 2nd Millenium as a mining town, taking advantage of the rich coal and iron ore veins in the nearby area. It soon became known for the quality of its steel, and was a major producer of arms, armour, and domestic implements. 'Sharp as Contwaraburg steel' is still a phrase in common usage today.

Its location near the centre of Brytene made it an important industrial hub, and to this day more or less anything can be bought and sold in the streets of Contwaraburg.

Modern age

Unlike Lundene, Contwaraburg is a city of closely-packed streets, loose construction standards, and towering skyscrapers. The industrial zone is located in the southern area of the city, and Contwaraburg is not exactly known for its clear skies or fresh air.

Crime in Contwaraburg is comparatively high, especially given the low levels experienced in other areas of Brytene, and the CBPD are somewhat overstretched.

Culture

Contwaraburg recently hosted the final of the Atlas World Cup
