Wernham-Hogg Industries (known commonly as Wernham-Hogg) is a multinational automotive corporation based in Hamtun, Brytene. The company is primarily a vendor of commercial and heavy-duty vehicles, and one of its largest contractors is the Confederate Brytisc Fleet. It also owns a subsidiary company, the Hlaford Shipyards, which is a major producer of naval ships.

History

Founded by Sarah Wernham and David Hogg in 1899, Wernham-Hogg was originally a manufacturer of motorised bicycles and cars. The company struggled to compete in an already-saturated market until the Great War, at which point Wernham-Hogg engines experienced unprecedented levels of demand as military vehicles began to rise in strategic value. New models such as tanks, armoured cars, and even planes required rugged, affordable engines, and the Wernham-Hogg V-12 Patented Piston Engine became a driving force behind many of the armoured columns of the war. Post-war, Wernham-Hogg found itself well-placed as a trusted and popular household name, and was able to solidify its position as a market leader. In 1952, following the slump in production demand for military vessels, Wernham-Hogg bought out the Hlaford Shipyards.

Formation

Wernham-Hogg is a publicly traded company reporting to a board of shareholders. Roughly 12% of the total shares remain the property of the Wernhamm and Hogg families, with the rest in the hands of a number of domestic and international investors and business concerns. The CFO is Mr Rupert Grimsby.

Models

Wernham-Hogg is mostly known in the domestic market for its trucks, vans, and semi-articulated haulers. It also produces a range of agricultural and industrial specialist vehicles, and is a major Fleet supplier, providing both parts and complete vehicle packages. The product line of the Hlaford Shipyards subsidiary division can be found here.
