Viola Hayes Hampton-Pierce (born Viola Anna Marie Hayes; August 25, 1961) is an American socialite, the first wife of technology entrepreneur Alon Hampton and second wife of cruise line magnate Bartholomew Pierce. She is also known as the daughter of secret millionaire Amelia Vega Hayes; mother to contralto Victoria Hampton-Chavez and aunt to Jacob Dunham, Jennifer Sloan, and identical twins Josephine and Jessica Dunham.

Early life

Hampton-Pierce was born as Viola Anna Marie Hayes in Seattle, Washington, as the first child of Amelia née Vega, a working-class office clerk born in Manila, the Philippines; and Philip Ricardo Hayes, an electrician of Hispanic descent from Seattle. Her maternal grandparents immigrated to the United States in the 1950s and settled in Tacoma, Washington with Amelia. Hayes's parents met and married at 16 and shortly after had her. Hayes's has a younger sister, Celina, 3 years her junior, who died in a car accident in 1998.

1984–2003: First marriage and motherhood

Hayes met her first husband, tech magnate Alon Hampton, in 1984 when she joined his company Ellonet while it was in its infancy. Fresh out of the City University of Seattle, Hayes received a bachelor's degree in accounting and became a certified accountant in 1983. She briefly worked for a local Seattle-based bank before seeing a job posting for an accountant from her future husband's telephone company. The couple had their daughter, Victoria, in 1989.

2009–2012: Third marriage and annulment

2013–2018: Later career and Ember of the Sea cruise

2019–present: Fourth marriage
