Jacob Theodore Dunham (born February 29, 1984) is an American civil rights attorney and former civil servant. Before founding his own firm Dunham & Associates, he worked representing civil cases as a city attorney for Portland, Oregon. His legal work includes cases on gender and sexual orientation, probate, evictions, labor law and federal law. He has earned a local reputation for helping defend the the working and middle class community of Portland against businesses and the government. He has also represented the individual clients and the U.S. government on asset recovery. He was recognized 2013 by the American Civil Liberties Union as best civil attorney in Oregon.

Dunham is the grandson of Filipino-born secret millionaire Amelia Vega Hayes and is an heir to her fortune.

Personal life

Dunham was previously married to criminal defense attorney Candace Dunham (née Myrtle) from 2007–2011. His in-laws included the former governor of Washington Jack D. Myrtle. The couple were expecting a baby girl in 2010 but Myrtle's pregnancy ended in miscarriage which took an emotional toll on the marriage. Their marriage ended in divorce with Dunham citing irreconcilable differences.

In 2020, Dunham married his collogue Elena Sanchez. They have a daughter, Rosalind Dunham-Sanchez.
