The Capois Rebellion, sometimes referred to as the Chloéois War of Independence, was a failed rebellion in the Viceroyalty of the New Aurean, particularly focused on the island of Sainte-Chloé. Begun as an attempt by wealthy planters to increase the autonomy of the island and demand its reorganisation into a Dominion like Cassier and Satucin, the rebellion later attempted to declare Sainte-Chloé as an independent country. In-fighting between independence groups and failure to seize strategic goals led to the defeat of the rebellion and a reorganisation of the plantation economy on the island, but did see some concessions such as the admission of representatives of the Viceroyalty in the Imperial Gaullican Senate.
