The Luepolan Uprising of 1976, commonly known as the March Uprising, was a period of widespread civil unrest and limited internal conflict that occurred in the State of Luepola. The conflict started with protests in the town of Utrna; mass arrests & the shooting of civilians caused further unrest to sweep the nation. The uprising saw the defection of the Home Guard to the protestors. The uprising started the Luepolan War, a nine-year conflict between the increasingly well-organized rebels and the Vierz-backed State government, in whose support Vierzland itself would directly intervene later on. The overthrow of the Vierz puppet government, which had been previously accused of human rights abuses, was met with widespread international support outside of the Vierz and Aemperyan spheres of influences.
