The 1998 Flommstein fire massacre (Besmenian: Feuermassaker von Flommstein) was a massacre that occurred on 20 October 1998 in Flommstein, the captital city of the Besmenian state of Zollingia. The perpetrator was the 17 year old Niklas Herbert, who went on the night of October 20, 1998, during a house party organized by classmates, with a flamethrower at the classmates with the intention of killing them. When the police arrived, Herbert climbed on the roof and committed suicide by jumping off the roof.

Alexander Brüning, 17
Klaudia Schüler, 17
Markus König, 16

Aftermatch

In honor of the victims, various streets in Flommstein were named after them.

After the deed, the Brüning family left the house and moved to relatives in Maurenmark. The house was abandoned until 2017 and there was no one who wanted to buy the property. The abandoned house has been used repeatedly by homeless people as accommodation over the years. After a fire in February 2017, the city council decided to demolish the house. After the demolition, the property served as a parking lot for the residents of the street.
