Ascolla-East Ternev, officially United Kingdoms of Ascolla-East Ternev, is a unitary unicameral constitutional diarchy located on the continent of Mu-kal, Greater Olympus. Valley Green sits on the other side of the Channel of Cobalt from Ascolla-East Ternev.
Ascolla-East Ternev came into being when Ascolla and Ternev signed the Fourth Treaty of Aurenia in 1941. Before this, Ascolla and Ternev had been at war multiple times, with Ascolla absorbing more and more coastline until they took what little Ternev had left in 1904. Shortly afterwards, Ascolla would descend into a succession crisis, and would change its tone towards Ternev in 1913 with the transition from monarchy to democracy similar to Ternev, and the election of Arwin Summerwind as Grand Speaker on the 16th of August.
Etymology
Ascolla
East Ternev
Unlike Ascolla's origins being rather natural, East Ternev is entirely artificial, and is well recorded.
