Government

Government of Gassasinia

Parliament House, home to both houses of the Gassasinian Parliament. Parliament House is notable for its' combination of traditional Midwestern Thrismari elements with modernist architecture.

Jabiyah is the seat of the Government of Gassasinia. The Parliament House, which hosts the House of Representatives and House of Peers, is located in Jabiyah, along with the Prime Minister's residency and the central headquarters for Gassasinia's ministries and government agencies.

Many of these government offices are located within Jabalah, a quarter of the city which is located outside of the down-town business and commerce districts of Jabiyah and more towards the suburbs of the city.

Government Services

The Municipality of Jabiyah City Fire Brigade is the primary Civil Defence unit responsible for providing fire and rescue coverage to the city. Jabiyah City falls within the jurisdiction of the Jabiyah Provincial Division of the National Police, and the Municipality of Jabiyah City Police Service is the primary National Police unit responsible for day-to-day policing alongside provincial units.

Trials of criminal cases within Jabiyah City falls within the jurisdiction of the Jabiyah Province Circuit. Most criminal cases are tried at the assize court attached to the Prisons and Probation Agency-run Tarine Prison, a Class 3 closed prison containing separated sections for convicted prisoners and persons awaiting trial.

The Municipality of Jabiyah City is also home to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of the State of Gassasinia.

Healthcare is administered and managed by the Jabiyah Health Board.
