History
Fichmani Foods
Fichmani Foods was founded in 1937 as a state run enterprise to feed the growing urban population after the establishment of the Republic. The company quickly became bloated, corrupt and ineffective and was sold to a private firm in 1941. The Private firm was owned 100% owned by Fredrick Arnold, brother to President John Arnold. After Arnold's death and the re-establishment of democracy, the government seized most of the ill-gotten assets held by the Arnold family. The government could not establish Fredrick's ownership of the firm beacuse it was registered in a foreign country.
Buely Farms
This allowed him to keep ownership of the company but was forced to sell 27% of the company to the Cidistan Farm Union in 1959 after years of slow growth. The Cidistan Farm Union was bought out by Martin Buley in 1961 and merged it with his own farm and busniess to create Buely Farms. Buely bought another 14% of Fichmani Foods in 1963
