Meridonian honors and awards system

The honors and awards system of Meridon refers to the system of decorations, orders, and awards issued by Meridon. The Articles of Federation authorize the President of Meridon to create, maintain, and issue such orders, honors, and awards as are deemed fit to recognize and respect the accomplishments of those deemed necessary.
The Meridonian system consists of orders and decorations.

Unit Commendations | ||||
Federal Superior Unit Commendation | FSUC | Issued to specific units for demonstrated excellence three times per year or by special issuance. May be worn by all members of the unit serving during the trimester issued. | ||
Allied Superior Unit Commendation | ASUC | Issued to allied units operating alongside Meridonian forces or in the advancement of Meridonian interests with demonstrated excellence. Special issuance only. | ||

Expeditionary Service Medal | ESM | Awarded for participation in national defense activities deployed outside of national borders for a period of 6 months or more, or less if participating in significant defense activities. | ||
Foreign Service Medal | FSM | Awarded for participation as a liason or an enabler between Meridon and a foreign nation. | ||
Arctic Service Medal | ASM | Awarded for participation in operations in Nivalia or other such arctic areas in the support of scientific research or national objectives. | ||

Defense Medal | DM | Issued upon the completion of an initial enlistment/commission. Additional silver chevrons may be issued at the completion of enlistment/commissions up to a total of four. | ||
Sailor's Ribbon | SR | Issued to members of the Meridonian Navy upon completion of all required training courses and arrival in an active service billet. | ||
Territorial's Ribbon | TR | Issued to members of the Meridonian Army upon completion of all required training courses and arrival in an active service billet. | ||
