Fyrland was the area colonized by Emerstari in the Green Union during a period beginning witht the exploration of Markion by Christoffer Lorens Ljundstrom, and ending with the cession of Fyrland to in exchange for several Amlug colonies.
Emerstarian Northern Markion, as it is sometimes referred to, consisted of four counties: Norrland, Midtenfyrland, Bergland, and Gronland. Emerstarian settlement occurred specifically in Gronland, and the city of Grünwald was found; although, it was then called Gronvød from the Emerstarian words gron (green) and vød (loanword from Canarian voed; English: wood).
The lands were originally used to extract from the natural resources of fur, through trade with the indigenous peoples, and lumber. Today, there still remains a prominent Emerstarian minority near Grünwald.
