The Outlands Cup is an annual men's rugby union tournament between the teams of Vvarden, Cyningburgh, Alriika, Wradhia, New Velacruz, X, X and X. Founded in 1968 after the IRB witnessed Hytekia's performance in the 1962 Heartlands Cup as the invitational nation, the Outlands Cup acts as the de facto second tier to the Heartlands Cup. The competition has proven successful in increasing the skill level for rugby teams all over Aeia, and the cup has grown from a side tournament to a respectable piece of silverware. At present, the IRB is considering introducing a promotion/relegation system between the Heartlands and Outlands Cup, to replace the less successful teams in the top-tier cup. The most successful team is Hytekia, who have won the cup 21 times, most recently in 2018.
