The Battle of Calagains was an planetary war that was fought between the Lanyan Alliance and the Akannus Confederation over the planet of Calagains, the only habitable planet in the Calagains System. The Battle of Calagains was a Lanyan offensive launched through a blockade of the planet followed by an invasion through land forces. The Battle of Calagains was initially launched in the northern Calagain city of Ozuriani known as the Battle of Ozuriani. Calagains initial count of troops were sparse and required reinforcements, however never arrived until Admiral Sagdukht of the 34th Vardoni Fleet could break through the Lanyan blockade.
The Battle of Ozuriani turned into a strife as all of the soldiers and K'vari Severibi were being kept there.
The Battle of Calabians created what is known as Hemispheric control, where the hemispheres of a certain planet are controlled by different factions. The Akannus were entrenched and stretched the Lanyan troops to their limit, forcing Lanya to take control of the unguarded Southern Calagian hemisphere.
