Campaign of Calagains
The Campaign of Calagains was an planetary war that was fought between the Lijiang Republic and the Akannite Confederation over the planet of Calagains, the only habitable planet in the Calagains System. The Battle of Calagains was a Lijiangese offensive launched against the Akannite though the initiation of the Blockade of Calagains. The Campaign of Calagains was initially launched in the northern Akanovan Territoy of Ozuriani in the Battle of Ozuriani. Calagains initial count of troops were sparse and required reinforcements, however never arrived until Admiral Sagdukht of the 34th Vardoni Fleet broke through the Lijiangese blockade.
The Battle of Ozuriani turned into a strategic chokepoint as all of the soldiers and K'vari Severibi were being kept there.
The Battle of Calabians created what is known as Hemispheric control, where the hemispheres of a certain planet are controlled by different factions. The Akannus were entrenched and stretched the Lijiangese troops to their limit, forcing Lijiang to take control of the unguarded Southern Calagian hemisphere.
