History
Before 1831
The Kingdom of Besmenia was founded on 15 May 1831 with the Unification of the Besmenian states. Here the states Kingdom of Sedakania, Schleswig-Zollingian Kingdom, Summingian State, Principality of Lemberland, Free State of Trissia and the Free State of Greuningia united to form the first independent Besmenian state. Reason for the foundation was the cultural and traditional history of the Besmenian states. After the Besmenian states gained independence from the Thraysian Empire in 1765, the individual states pursued their own goals. Nevertheless, all states were members in the organization "Alliance of the Besmenian States". In the 1800s, there were initial considerations for a unification of the individual states. From this time on, Besmenian nationalism developed strongly. In July 1830, all rulers of the Besmenian states signed the treaty to form the first independent Besmenian state led by the Heraldstein Dynasty.
