Kasiwanthay (Thaksin: Kasiwanthay) officially the Community of Kasiwanthay (Thaksin: Sangkh a Kasiwanthay), is a loose-knit theocratic confederacy of democratic polities situated in southeast Catai and bound together more by commerical, cultural, and religious ties than formal political and hierarchical relationships. Of particular importance is the unifying sociopolitical and religious institution known as the Senthang which has no neat parallels among more conventional citizenship and state based models of political organization. The informal capital and most populous city is Varijapur (Buriwachra) which is home to around four million people and acts more as a first among equals than a central locus of government.
