Dreichels Reize Arnor (15 April 1901 - 21 February 1983) was the 73rd Emperor of the Erebonian Empire. He was famously known as Dreichels the Lionheart following the War of the Two Branches in 1934, where he defeated his cousin, Orthros Reize Arnor who did not have the direct claim to the throne. His victory cemented Prince Dreichels' line as the true line of succession.
During his reign, Erebonia became the leading figure of the Allied forces during the Second Europan War, which pitted Erebonia against the Calvard Republic and the Autocratic East Europan Imperial Alliance. With support from the Lucis Commonwealth, Erebonia's presence in Zemuria/Scandinavia was preserved. Following the war, the Erebonian Empire was the 3rd most powerful nation in the world after the United Kingdom and Gallia. His reign oversaw the establishment of the INRANHEM Defence Treaty, which established Erebonia's defence treaty with the UK and Gallia. While his reign turned Erebonia as the most powerful nation in Scandinavia, the country was plagued with Nobility crises. Dreichels was later accused of meddling with affairs of the different nobility families. Despite him denying any interference, Dreichels abdicated in a shocking move on 27 March 1959. He was succeeded by his son, Eugent Reize Arnor II.
Dreichels reign was credited with finally ending the succession crises that plagued Erebonia for the last century. However, the prevailing nobility crises that plagued Erebonia for more than a century continued well into his reign. As a result, the House of Arnor was eventually tagged as one of the prime suspects. Republican settlements were beginning to increase during the 1950s following these events, which became the driving reason for Dreichels abdication. Despite it, he is honoured as one of the defenders of Erebonia from East Europa and Calvard. He lived into retirement until his death in 1983.
