The Port of Brightburg (Radictistani: Brightburghavn) is a port complex located on the Breitgolf within the Municipality of Brightburg, Radictistan's third largest city. The Port of Brightburg is one of the busiest container ports in Radictistan and is a major conduit for petroleum and chemical imports. It is also regularly visited by foreign cruise ships.

The port is one of the largets employers in Brightburg, directly employing over 39,000 persons. Many others work in the numerous support industries associated with water transport.

Governance

The port is operated by the Brightburg Port Authority. The port authority is a self-sustaining department of the Brightburg municipal government. Its five commissioners are appointed by the Statmeister. The commissioners appoint a Harbormaster to be in charge of the daily operation of the port facilities. The Chief Commissioner is Alexander Chomsky and the Harbormaster is Friedrik Berger.

Security is provided by private security guards and personnel from the Royal Maritime Police which also maintains navigational aids.

Shipping
