Green Dragon Taverns is a public company headquartered in Eoferwic, Brytene. History
The original Green Dragon Tavern was first recorded in the tax rolls for Eoferwic in 1406, as a simple local tavern. The original building still stands today, and is still operating as the flagship tavern for the Green Dragons Taverns brand.
The long-standing Green Dragon tavern gained something of a reputation as offering quality alcohol, a great atmosphere, discretion and excellent service. It eventually became known as the meeting place for the great and the good of Eoferwic.
In 1932, investors from Goldwing Finance approached the then-landlord of the Green Dragon about the possibility of building a business around the Green Dragon name. With his permission, they opened a second location in the heart of Lundene, which proved to be immensely popular. After a third location was opened on the highway between Lundene and Contwaraburg, a parent company was formed.
Theme and service
Green Dragon Taverns boast a warm, rustic atmosphere. Each room comes with a freeview television and a bathroom suite, as well as a kettle and complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits. Rooms must be vacated by 1100 in the morning.
Each tavern includes a fully-staffed restaurant which is open for breakfast from 0600 and for full service from 1200, closing at 2300. Overnight stays always include a free buffet breakfast, and during this time the restaurant is open only to guests of the hotel. From 1200, the restaurant functions as a fully public restaurant.
Foreign operations
Green Dragon Taverns operates a franchise system abroad, allowing local entrepreneurs to capitalise on the Green Dragon brand. Franchises are subject to strict company-wide standards and frequent quality inspections.
