Climate

Kiathra lies within the uncommon subpolar oceanic climate zone, though the claim is sometimes disputed due to the close margin with the much more common temperate oceanic climate. The city's climate is fairly consistent throughtout the year due to its close proximity to the ocean, alongside receiving protection from northern winds from the island's mountains to its north.
