The Lazarene Gang, also known as the Lazarene Cartel, is an international drug trafficking, money laundering, and organized crime syndicate. Established during the late-1980s, following the disbanding of the Lazarene Clique the Cartel is based primarily in the city of Ostramar, Ostramaria, with operations in the Karazawi Seiyuu of Ostramaria, Xue, Moltotia, and Johavi Island, with known activities in Desena, Ássoras, and Nautasia in general.
In constant rivalry with the Rivarra Family, the Lazarene Gang has become the center of a larger entity, known as the Lazarene Alliance that was created as a direct counter to the Rivarro-Uarhipenuichi. the Group was also behind the transformation of the various Cartel Killers vigilantes networks that had appeared after the Great Streets War into the Dog Killers once the Uarhipenuichi became the most violent and threatening cartel in the entire counry.
To this day the Group still operate both in the streets and at higher levels of crime. While other cartels, like their Rivarra Family rivals, have kept their influence inside Nordania, the Lazarene Gang is known to run operation in Nautasia, having ties with the trading of blood diamonds, illegal mines, and the selling of weapons to insurgents or criminals organisations operating in the continent.
History
Present day
Like most of the Karazawi Cartels, the Lazarene Group is focused on smuggling and traficking, mainly of weapons, but also of drugs, sport cars, luxury goods or counterfeits, and generally of anything worth the time and effort. The Lazarene Group itself is less focused on Conitia, but on Nautasia where it possess an extensive networks of allies, friendly contacts, and business partners. The Lazarene Group was notably caught in a reveal by Sjealandians journalists in 2011 that a great number of diamond dealers in the country were in touch with the Cartel, who was overseeing the transport of blood diamonds and serving as an intermediary between the companies and the local warlords and criminal rings responsible for the mining.
Alliance
The Lazarene Group is at the center of network of friendly or dependent groups known as the Lazarene Alliance. The Alliance was created during the Second Great Street War of the Nineties as a direct counter to the Uarhipenuichi, a bands of ex-military of the Karazawi army who decided to switch side and join the Rivarra Family, serving as a private militia for them. It's also against the Uarhipenuichi that the Lazarene Group became known as the Fathers of All Dog Killers, a title given to it after it financed and organized the transition of many vigilantes groups that plagued the 80s in Karazawa into "Dog-killers", bands of armed vigilantes and criminals dedicated to the destruction of the Uarhipenuichi, nicknamed "the dogs". Today, many of these Dog-killers were either directly integrated into the Lazarene Group, or are now smaller cartels dependent of the Alliance.
