Brigadier Roy Peterson CLE, DSO, OZ (29 May 1913 - 22 August 2002) was a Zanarkian commander, officer, and librarian known for his liaison roles during the Second Europan War and served in the Third Joyonghean-Quenminese War. He is also known for being the best friend and second-in-command to Edward Samegawa.

Peterson is the maternal grandfather of John Humeray and Darzana Magbaredge.

Personal Life

Following the war, Roy settled in Geelong and married his college sweetheart, Inna Kinoshita. They had 4 children together. He noted that his favourite grandchild was Darzana Magbaredge, who would often play with her every time she visited his home. However, in 2000, Darzana was involved in an accident with her parents. Her parents died while Darzana lived. When Peterson found out about the accident, he broke down as the media reported that the occupants in the car died. This was considered by most of his family members as his cause of death.

Peterson died in 22 August 2002, never knowing that Darzana, his favourite grandchild was actually alive.

Darzana, his granddaughter would later be adopted by the Magbaredge family, causing her to assume the Magbaredge surname. Later in her life, she would later berate the media who reported the accident, mistakenly assuming that she also died. The reporters who reported on the incident were sued by the Humeray and Magbaredge families. The court ruled in favour of Darzana and the reporters were fined with 750,000 Lucian gils.
