Battle of Urupana
The Battle of Urupana (13 November 1823 - 21 January 1824) was an engagement that took place near the northwestern-most town of Urupana. The battle was fought by the Lucian-Galbadian forces under the command of General Sir. Benedict Humeray against the Sikh-Aurucolian forces under Marshal Flórián Székely de Kisbátor. It was the final battle during the Mid-Year Campaign of 1823, where Humeray plotted the splitting of both the Aurucolian and Sikh regions, cutting the two nations from reinforcing and trading with each other.
Following Humeray's victory at the Battle of Tarikha and General Vandemeer's victory over General Dobos at the Battle of Unagaginna, Humeray chased Kisbátor, who made a gallant stand at Urupana, which was the last city that allowed the exchange between Aurucolians and Sikhs. The battle took the Coalition forces several attacks, until Akina Sumoyoshi's Chiyoda Company Regiment navigated to the weakest point of the Sikh and Aurucolian defences, which allowed Humeray to press his attack and split the Aurucolians and Sikhs for good. Meanwhile, the Royal Navy blockade which began in early 1823 was beginning to take toll on the Aurucolians, with supplies and various trade goods becoming scarce.
The battle would prove to be the beginning of the end of the Sikh and Aurucolian War, with Humeray continuing to chase Kisbátor up to the Port City of Kandia, in which the Aurucolians surrendered at the Battle of Kandia.
