The Merovian Empire was a powerful empire in eastern Lorecia and one of the most powerful states of Astyrian antiquity, existing continuously for roughly 900* years before the Ethlorek migrations, which triggered mass migrations from the empire and numerous rebellions, all which brought about a swift end to the unitary state. At the height of its power, the empire stretched as far south as the middle regions of ViZion, and as west as the base line of the border of modern-day Earent.

For almost the entirety of the empire's existence, its capital was the city of Tyeilorah, which is modern-day Telora. While the Siege of Telora occurred during the Second Age, it did not prevent the capital from being moved.
