Early life

Ed Ashleigh was born in the Munkcestrian Republic, the son of Christenbread Ashleigh (a policeman) and his girlfriend.

Friendship with George Fenwick II

Ed Ashleigh was friends with George Fenwick II during 2020. He apparently stopped being friends with him after his engagement as George Fenwick II called him a "fucking simp".

intelligence career

Despite being too young to be conscripted, he joined the Munkcestrian Assassins Stopping Socialism on Duty (M.A.S.S.O.D) at the age of 15. Due to the secretive nature of the work details are unknown though it is believed he worked there for one year and two weeks before it a nuclear accident destroyed the Munkcestrian Republic. As conscription was not instant he was never conscripted, his native country ceased to exist two weeks after his 16th birthday.

Reign as Sultan

During his reign as Sultan, Ed Ashleigh made a number of sweeping changes to Sharifistan: he stated he would abolish the upper house of the Majilis-Ash Shura, executed a child abuser by impalement (a method never used since Sharifistan was established) and without trial and introduced the punishment of life with hard labour. He also commuted the sentence of a killer to time served (meaning he only served 5 days in prison). He was also influential in Sharifistani military victories, strategy and military morale and introduced new courts, procedures etcetera that improved military effectiveness. He fought George Fenwick II in a duel and killed him. He is highly popular amongst all classes due to his excellent leadership, morale and strategy contribution to the war effort, his establishment of the Anti-Narcotics Police Command and his child protection policies. He is popular amongst the Sharifistani ulama for his introduction of the Book of Justice (Sharifistan) as well as the Islamic Religious Police.

Due to his study of philosophers such as Nick Land, he is often described as "philosopher-king" by the Sharifistani press. Due to his involvement with the military and duel with George Fenwick II he is often described as a "warrior king" as well.

Personal life

Ed Ashleigh's hobbies include studying history (especially English history from 400-1066) and philosophy. Following the death of his wife Khadijah Khan he is unmarried. He has a number of half-brothers, one of whom (Edbert Ashleigh) died as a result of an intoxicated driver named Ahmed Yilmaz. Following the death of his wife, he decided never to marry again.

family ties and ancestry

Ed Ashleigh is the illegitimate son of Christenbread Ashleigh and therefore a member of the Ashleigh family, he was married to a member of the Khans of Sharifistan. Through Christenbread Ashleigh, he is descended from Saint Chad of Mercia.
