Gyeolgung is a province of Anikatia, with its capital at Buchyeon.

History

Gyeolgung was one of the key provinces of Anikatia during the dynastic period and one of the early settlement areas in the colonial period settlers traveling to the region for its fertile soils.

Geography

Location

Gyeolgung is situated on the south-west area of Anikatia.

Resources

The area of Gyeolgung contains a large portion of the mountainous green land areas. The province is renowned for its tea and fish produce. Mineral resources of the province include iron, coal, fluorite, limestone and tungsten. There are also a number of Nuclear power plants and mining facilities in the area. Gyeolgung economy includes the following major industries: meat and meat preparations, wheat, rice, wool and sheepskins, machinery, metal and metal manufactures, fish and crustaceans, road vehicles parts, and petroleum products. Other industries, such as education and defence technology, are of growing importance although the economic growth of this province is lagged behind the rest of Anikatia.

Cities and parks

The main cities in the province are Buchyeon (the provincial capital), Somju, and Yeoposu.


Climate

The climate of Gyeolgung is influenced by the latitude. In summer along with the higher temperature and there is high humidity, but in winter the weather can be very cold owing to high pressure from the west of the Kasaishima continent.
