Tupawasi (Kaya simi pronunciation: ['tʊpawasɪ]) is the capital city of Kayahallpa. It is located by Lake Thakhsikala in the Qullqaquyllur highlands of central inland Kayahallpa. It has an urban population of 4,054,238 and is the center of the Tupawasi Metropolitan Area, which has an estimated 5.6 million residents. It is one of the highest-altitude cities in the world and is the site of the Royal Palace Complex, one of the world's largest buildings and the official residence of the Sapa Inka and Kayahallpan royal family.
