Sora Miroyu (そらみろゆ born 5 June 1987) is a Taoist politician serving as the Prime Chancellor of the UST since 2018. She previously served as Deputy Prime Chancellor in 2017 and Mayor of Kachi from 2010 to 2016.

Miroyu came from a known military family, though she has noted in public on many occasions that she has always found more interest in History and Politics. Taoist conscription law requires, all able men and women over 5'4 must sign at least a 1-year commitment to a branch of the military on the last day of their 18th birth month. Miroyu complied though it is well known she could have gotten out of such a commitment due to her family's connections.

Whilst serving in the Navy, Miroyu studied at Kachi International University, a condition she was allowed for signing a two-year commitment instead of a one-year. After getting her two-year diploma and getting out of the service, she continued studying to get a four-year diploma in political science.

Military Service

Taoist conscription law required Sora Miroyu to sign a commitment to the military, however, it is well known that she could've avoided going into the military. Despite this, Miroyu decided to sign the commitment and serve her time. In a 2018 interview with the Tao Times, Miroyu recounted her thoughts at the time: "I honestly thought about avoiding the commitment, I really did. But at the end of the day, I really felt that I needed to serve alongside my fellow countrymen and women. The more I thought about it, it seemed like the right thing to do, I even struck a deal with the Navy that if I signed for two years, I could go to college and that really helped make my decision a bit easier. Looking back on it, I'm really happy I went in; I learned a lot, met a lot of people from places all over the world, and I got in a good place for going into politics."

Mayor of Kachi (2010-2016)

After getting her diploma in political science, Miroyu had become a well known and well-liked figure in Kachi. People seemed to like that she not only upheld a commitment to the military but a two-year one when she easily could have avoided it. At 23 she ran to become the Mayor of Kachi and won, making her the youngest Mayor of a Taoist city with a population of over 250,000.

Most experts agree Miroyu came into a tough situation in Kachi. The city had been on an economic downturn, contrary to other Taoist cities which were on a slow incline, and infrastructure, particularly roads, were deteriorating at a rapid pace with a lack of repairs and maintenance. In 2015 Kachi had the fastest growing economy out of all other Taoist cities with at least 100,000 people, and its infrastructure was being consistently rated as some of the best in the UST.

Affiliation with the Nationalist Party

After serving three terms as the Mayor of Kachi as an independent, Miroyu decided joining an established party would be the best move in furthering her political career. Eventually, she settled on the Nationalist Party as she felt "it was the party I felt most well resembled my ideals". She found herself taking a sort of apprenticeship under Aoi Shou who was the frontrunner for the Nationalist's nominee.

Deputy Prime Chancellor (2017)

In 2017, Aoi Shou shocked the UST and won the Chancellatorial election with Miroyu as his running partner. Miroyu had a short career as Deputy Prime Chancellor, though she was noted for going behind Aoi Shou's back several times trying to prevent invasion of the Rengo and sabotage the concentration camp programs he had set in place. Ultimately she had been collecting evidence against the Prime Chancellor and released the information to the public. Aoi Shou was forced to officially step down on December 31st, and on the following day Sora Miroyu was inaugurated as the new Prime Chancellor of the UST.

Prime Chancellor (2018-present)

Months before Aoi Shou was officially forced to step down, the House of Chancellors held a vote on how long Miroyu should hold the Prime Chancellory.(this is custom in the UST) The choices were essentially a one-year temporary position or a full five-year term as the Prime Chancellor, the house voted for a full five-year term on October 1st, 2017. On the date of her inauguration on the 1st of January, Miroyu was only 30 years old, this has made her the youngest serving Prime Chancellor in UST history.
