Syllan, officially the Kingdom of Syllan (Ossorian Gaelic: Ríocht na Syllan), is a Kingdom of Ossoria located in the western portion of the Ossorian Archipelago.
Geography
Syllan occupies the Twin Islands (Ossorian Gaelic: Oileáin Nasctha), located in the east of the Ossorian Archipelago, as well as a number of nearby islands. The larger of the two primary islands of the kingdom is called Big Brother Island (Oileán Deartháir Mhóir), while the smaller is called Little Sister Island (Oileán Deirfiúr Beag). This location means that the kingdom shares a maritime border with the Kingdom of Kenlis to the west and the Kingdom of Ardliss to the south.
History
Demographics
The 2010 census reported the population of Syllan at 806,611, making the kingdom the ninth-most populated in the Realm. The largest city in Syllan is the city of Breyer on Big Brother Island, which is also the capital of the kingdom. The next-largest city is Ceis on Little Sister Island.
Economy
The kingdom's economy is primarily driven by the fishing, aquaculture, and service sectors. The city of Breyer and Ceis are the main harbors and transshipping centers for their respective halves of the kingdom.
