Boucanier Broadcasting is an unlicensed broadcasting network and political organization that streams illicit digital media and pirate radio into Notreceau. Boucanier Broadcasting was founded in 1979 by Notreceauen Radio personality and Republican activist Damien Baptiste after his previous network, NATTRA Radio, terminated him following a series of escalating fines issued against the corporation under Notreceauen censorship laws for Baptiste's increasingly anti-government stance on the airwaves.
Boucanier Broadcasting is headquartered and broadcasts from the cargo ship GTS Liberté, a refurbished Rapide class vessel that was purchased by Baptiste and a collection of friends and investors in 1978. The networks online presence is registered and maintained inside Curonia and offers opinion pieces and online radio streaming services. The Liberté has an erratic transit pattern, primarily skirting the southern Maritime boundaries of Notreceau and Temuair within International waters. The vessels changing position and inclement weather are known to cause periodic broadcast interruptions of both the radio availability and digital media updates.
